Overview
The Pharmacy Technician position, under the supervision of a licensed
pharmacist, assists in the various activities of the pharmacy department
not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist.
Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. National Pharmacy Technician
Certification (CPhT) preferred.

One (1) year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy, or
equivalent setting required.

Experience working with online claims processing system preferred.

Effective oral and written communication skills and an aptitude for
working with other health care professionals.

Essential Accountabilities

The Pharmacy Technician position, under the supervision of a licensed
pharmacist, assists in the various activities of the pharmacy department
not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist.

Maintain patient records.

Set up, packaging, and labeling medication doses.

Perform designated tasks regarding processing of equipment and supply
orders, and preparation of sterile products.

Packaging and Shipping.

Setup and optimization of delivery routes.

Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical safety hazards and drug handling.

Notify Pharmacist staff of dispensing, storage, packaging, and/or
related issues.

Proper rotation of stock, supplies, packaging materials, and shipping
supplies.

Maintaining the cleanliness of the registered and packaging space.

Technicians must function in strict accordance with standard, written
procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising
pharmacist.
