Humana Pharmacy Tech In Training - $750 Retention Award in West Chester, Ohio


The Pharmacy Technician in Training participates in a designated training program designed for individuals who are registered as a pharmacy technician trainee with their respective Board of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician in Training performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.


$750 Retention Award paid after 6 months

The Pharmacy Technician in Training must be authorized to participate in a pharmacy's/pharmacy organization's technician training program. Completes the certification program including passing all necessary exams as required by company policy. Registration, as applicable, with regulatory agencies must be maintained at all times and be unrestricted. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Duties will include but not limited to

  • Opening member orders that arrive via mail

  • Prepping all member orders

  • Scanning member orders in via high speed scanners

  • Reviewing member orders through a QA station (computer station), to ensure the order is clear and accurate before we send it onto the next department

  • Completing audits of scanned batches

  • Filing/Shredding

Required Qualifications

  • Must be willing to apply for a Technician in Training license with the state of Ohio Board of Pharmacy upon hire.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work this schedule:Monday - 4:30am - 2:00pmTuesday - Friday - 5:00am - 1:30pmWill be scheduled to leave at 12:30pm one day each week.Must be willing to work the Saturday around each holiday.Schedule subject to change

Interview Format As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Modern Hire, a third-party vendor. This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making. If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview.  If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes. If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided.  Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
