General Summary

Prepares and distributes investigational medicinal products, maintains drug inventory, and updates patient study records.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compiles investigational medicinal products (IMP) for patients and clinical studies.

  • Processes physician’s IMP orders.

  • Organizes, labels and packages investigational medicinal products.

  • Monitors facility safety procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Works as an operator or verifier in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Cleans manufacturing areas and equipment to ensure safety guidelines and regulations are met.

  • Has materials sterilized when used in a sterile environment.

  • Conducts monitoring tasks related to clean room facilities such as microbiologic air samples.

  • Completes drug dispensing forms and manufacturing batch records to ensure validity of dose calculations.

  • Arranges equipment and other materials necessary for manufacturing and / or dispensing IMP.

  • Supports material receipt, warehouse management and destruction of materials.

  • Supports completing process of study binders.

  • Working knowledge of good clinical practice and good manufacturing practice (GCP/GMP) and/or applicable regulations

  • Working knowledge of the drug manufacturing and/or dispensing process

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology

  • Good knowledge of environmental monitoring data integrity

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Processes physicians’ medication orders and formulates accurate doses for trial usage.

  • Inspects and replenishes crash carts, checks for completeness and expiration dates, and replaces out of date medications.

  • Records patients’ data in systems database.

  • Good knowledge of environmental monitoring data integrity

  • Associate’s degree or international equivalent

  • Up to 4 years of relevant experience preferred, minimum of 1 year required

  • MUST be Nationally Certified as a Pharmacy Tech and registered in the state of Kansas

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm (possible weekend hours occasionally as needed)
