Reports to: Manager

Hours: Monday Friday 6am- 2pm or 9am-5pm

Status: Temporary Full-Time 3 months

JOB SUMMARY:

The general assistant position in the pharmacy department works within the inventory team supporting the pharmacy operations group. Daily interactions include receiving of all deliveries to pharmacy, filling of stockroom requisitions, returns management and computer entry. The position is an integral part of the inventory team and is necessary to support the operations of the pharmacy department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At minimum completion of high school or recognized equivalent

  • Preferred 5 years’ experience Hospital OR Retail Pharmacy practice

  • Expert in using a Pharmacy Inventory computer system preferred

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical nomenclature preferred

  • Knowledge of inventory control

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical purchasing/receiving

  • Knowledge of accounting

  • Must be available to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am 4pm

  • Must be able to lift up to 12kg.

  • Knowledge of hand trucks and skid placements an asset
