This includes working collaboratively with pharmacy services operational leadership, health services leadership, and the VP of Pharmacy Services, providing direction to all clinical pharmacy staff, and working with leadership throughout the organization to ensure corporate and Pharmacy Services goals are achieved. Key areas of focus for the position include P&T Committee leadership, formulary development and administration, utilization management, contract negotiation, vendor oversight, expansion of clinical pharmacy services, provider collaboration, and member education. The position is also chiefly responsible for managing pharmacy costs, improving pharmacy related quality metrics, reducing pharmacy operating costs and improving the health of the community. In addition, this position is responsible for the managed care residency program, pharmacy students, and pharmacy interns. In all aspects of the position, it is the responsibility of the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and PacificSource policies. &br&&br&&b&Essential Responsibilities: &/b&&br&&ul&&li&Develops and implements Pharmacy strategies to achieve the growth and profitability goals established by the VP of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy strategies define a vision for meeting current and future needs while ensuring alignment and integration with the overall vision, mission, and values. &br&&/li&&li&Establish key strategies to promote better health outcomes and greater member satisfaction.&br&&/li&&li&Develop integration programs that focus on consumer directed health care and shared decision making. &br&&/li&&li&Prepare periodic reports for the Board to include quality and cost analysis of pharmacy performance and other metrics as they relate to strategic initiatives and company objectives. &br&&/li&&li&Develop programs to engage members in healthy behaviors through creative plan designs, health promotion, and relevant community health strategies that increase emphasis on partnerships between pharmacy services and other internal and external partners. &br&&/li&&li&Responsible for managing the Pharmacy trend/cost and utilization. Provide strategic leadership and direction in the development and implementation of initiatives and related programs targeted at achieving these goals.&br&&/li&&li&Oversee the development and maintain tracking systems for comparing treatment trends of accepted practices. When appropriate facilitate changes within PacificSource for new technology and procedures.&br&&/li&&li&Ensure that Pharmacy management programs are in compliance with the terms of our contracts, as well as state and federal regulations and requirements.&br&&/li&&li&Review and recommend clinical policy creation an d amendments. Responsible for managing the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Drug Utilization Review Committee ensuring they meet all local, state, and federal requirements.&br&&/li&&li&Establish guidelines and directly oversee the functions of the Clinical Pharmacy team for commercial and government programs. This includes utilization management, Medication Therapy Management, Pharmacy Benefit Management oversight and other pharmacy related clinical programs.&br&&/li&&li&Positively work with providers, provider organizations and PacificSource team members to establish and implement programs that promote positive working relationships, innovative approaches to care and value based reimbursement.&br&&/li&&li&Provide visibility and maintain positive physician and pharmacy relationships as a representative of PacificSource, in local and regional Pharmacy community.&br&&/li&&li&Responsible for oversight, management, development, implementation and communication of department programs.&br&&/li&&li&Responsible for hiring, staff development, coaching, performance reviews, corrective action and termination of employees. Provide feedback, including regular one-on-ones and performance evaluations for direct reports.&br&&/li&&li&Develop and monitor annual department budget. Monitor spending versus the planned budget throughout the year and take corrective action where needed.&br&&/li&&li&Actively participate in various strategic and internal committee
