Negotiating with Manufacturers (drug and medical supplies) for supplemental rebates and value-based contracts on behalf of State Medicaid Fee for Service (FFS) Clients
Interpretation of Federal and State Legislation as it impacts all aspects of pricing, reimbursement, and rebates
Ability to analyze, report and interpret large data sets for presentation to Clients in a concise and effective manner
Evaluating and providing recommendations for cost savings initiatives and methods to maximize rebates or lower final net cost to Clients through changes in reimbursement methodologies and/or formulary development/design
Interfacing and responsibility of multiple clients
This "work from home" Position can be located anywhere, US
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Negotiating Experience in the Medicaid Fee for Service Space
Minimum 5 years of Formulary Development with an understanding of drug nomenclature, standard compendia drug hierarchy and claims processing in a PBM or HealthPlan
Understanding of all Medicaid Fee for Service Legislation and FDA guidance pertaining to drug manufacturing, drug pricing and drug development, inclusive of the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program
Experience in Value Based Purchasing Negotiations for drugs and implementation
Understanding of the pricing components within the Commercial and Government
Pharmaceutical and Medical Supply Space
Understanding of clinical drug development and trends in the pharmaceutical space
Experience with management of pharmacy budgets related to manufacturers and specialtymanagers services and programs
Advanced EXCEL skills and ability to manipulate large data sets
Excellent presentation skills
Responsible for defining the road map and life cycle of one product.
Clearly articulate business value of one new product and defines the product's target market.
Partner with technology team to define requirements.
Work with marketing to implement go to market strategies.
Engage customers to get voice of the customer.
Monitor competition and make recommendations on future products in specialty area.
