Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician I -RX Entry, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our systems. The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner. The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification, and enter incomplete prescription information once clarification has been obtained. To help support development and maximize workflow, you may be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required. This is an exciting chance for Pharmacy Technicians to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge. As part of the Pharmacy Technician I -RX Entry Team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Pharmacy Technician skills and experiences to work in a closed door practice setting. CVS is a national leader in the home infusion field, as you will be leading an innovative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy leveraging new and emerging information technologies and channels. Additional responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician I -RX Entry include:-Customer Focus-Problem Solving CPhT, PTCB, Customer Service, Pharmacy Technician, Mail Order, Specialty, CVS, Mail, RX Entry, Processing Technician.

Required Qualifications

  • CA Pharmacy Technician License* 6 months work experience with data entry experience/pharmacy technician

COVID Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 1+years of work experience as a pharmacy technician • Prefer three months experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone• Prefer Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions• Prefer Medical billing, coding, and other medical assisting roles • Prefer customer service experience in an office environment

Education

Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required
