Job Description

Responsible for performing some of the daily functions related to the processing of mail, retrieving documents, scanning documents, handling prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures, links order entry, data perfection, completing orders, and supporting any other Pharmacy Clerk (ROCC) area needs. Through your skills and knowledge, you will demonstrate solid commitment to customer satisfaction and quality, while offering solutions needed to help simplify the customer health care experience. Typical daily tasks include processing and distributing inbound non-production and outbound mail utilizing the latest processing techniques and equipment, accurately handling and entering prescriptions into the order entry and or links system, and/or review and resolution of prescription exceptions. To help support development and maximize workflow, you will be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS: In order of importance, list specific skills or talents that a qualified incumbent should possess (i.e., management of large staff, computer applications, subject knowledge, etc.)1. 6+ months of experience in a data entry work environment. 2. 3+ months of experience working with Windows based applications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential job functions are the fundamental duties of a position, the things a person holding the job absolutely must be able to do. (This is not exclusive and managers have the discretion to designate additional essential functions of the job as needed)Item # Essential Functions1. Data entry, typing.2. Using computers, phones, fax machines and other office equipment3. Processing mail – either electronic or paper (manual).4. Reading and reviewing orders.5. Regular and predictable attendance.6. Colleague will be required to work overtime/extended work week when needed.7. Colleague will be required to travel when/if needed.Physical Requirements [ex. Sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk]1. Standing or sitting for up to 8 hours or more per day.2. Ability to lift 5-10 pounds with or without assistance.3. Walking sitting standing for up to 8 hours or more per day.4. Typing and using a mouse and computer for up to 8 hours or more per day.5. Ability to read and review information and computer screens for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.6. Ability to have phone conversations for extended periods of time – talk and hear in a work environment that is moderately loud.
