As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician , you'll be responsible for various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders, such as dispensing any or all of the following: unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, enteral and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures to compound medications using appropriate components, supplies and sterile / ventilated environment. This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information. It's a fast - paced, high - volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life - saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compounding IV Medications

  • Working in a clean room

  • Pulling and staging the medications for compounding

  • Using USP797 sterile guidelines

  • Clean sterile room

  • Stocking & staging supplies for clean room

  • Assisting in inventory duties (i.e. ordering, end of month review)

  • Labeling and organizing medications

  • Lifting up to 30 lbs. continuously

  • Standing on feet for an 8-hour shift with breaks and lunch

  • Working a rotating schedule Monday – Friday between 8 am – 7 pm EST with rotational weekends on call (every 5 th week)

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • State of Florida Pharmacy Technician License

  • Intermediate proficiency (or better) with a computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification

  • Pharmacy / prescription data entry experience

  • Previous inventory ordering experience

  • 1+ years of sterile IV compounding experience
