UnitedHealth Group Pharmacy Care Coordinator - Remote within 30 miles of Overland Park, Kansas in Overland Park, Kansas

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advise patients on alternate Rx fill strategies of retail versus mail order and options for financial assistance

  • Extensive work experience within own function

  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures

  • Works independently

  • May act as a resource for others

  • May coordinate others' activities

  • Extensive work experience within own function

  • Applies knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities

  • Demonstrates great depth of knowledge/skills in own function

  • Sometimes acts as a technical resource to others in own function

  • Proactively identifies solutions to non-standard requests

  • Solves moderately complex problems on own

  • Works with team to solve complex problems

  • Plans, prioritizes, organizes and completes work to meet established objectives

  • May coordinate work of other team members

  • May outreach to providers on suspected medication abuse situations.

  • Review medication regimen for disease state for LTC facilities/ hospice care / RN case managers. Advice may include alternate drug therapies, stopping a medication and/or lower cost alternative.

  • Review medical case notes to determine on-going medication treatment plan and project future medication costs.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED or higher

  • Pharmacy License in the state of Kansas

  • 1+ years of Pharmacy experience

  • 1+ years of customer service/call center

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PTCB license

Soft Skills:

  • Critical thinking and time management skills

  • Demonstrated phone experience and very patient - centric.
