Job Summary As the*Director, Clinical Pharmacy Member Support *you are responsible for leading, developing and implementing the Pharmacy Member Support strategic management for a multi-facility integrated delivery network (IDN). You will review and optimize the current GPO contract portfolio, implementing product standardization plans through clinical and contract alignment, and collaborate with the HealthTrust contracting team to drive strategic sourcing initiatives. This position is responsible for building strategic alliances with key stakeholders as it relates to successful pharmacy service expense management program.
Your role as theDirector, Clinical Pharmacy Member Supportwill include: * Providing leadership in the area of expense management and clinical alignment to contribute to the facility or IDN's overall strategic plan especially as it relates to the pharmacy services service line. * Assessing and providing leadership in the area of expense and clinical standards to guide and support organization’s strategy. * Assimilating information from variety of sources, able to analyze and interpret financial and clinical data, make strategic recommendations and execute a course of action for pharmaceutical savings opportunities and clinical standardization * Developing, implementing, and coordinating within the hospital or system: o A system approach to identify pharmaceutical savings opportunities as clinically relevant o Policies and procedures related to expense management in the pharmacy services service line o Product standardization and utilization within the pharmacy services service line o Participates in development of the agenda, follow up on action items assigned through the Regional Value Analysis Teams o Coordination with the GPO National and Custom Contracting Teams * Responsible for managing client expectations and delivering cost saving opportunities. * Provides on-site Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) to assigned members. * Provides educational opportunities to customers to understand the expense management program * Builds and maintains strong, effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders within the facility and corporate pharmacy services line, HealthTrust, Supply Chain, organization’s leadership and Regional Value Analysis Teams * Provides routine member calls
To be considered for the Director, Clinical Pharmacy Member Support role you will need:
- A Pharmacist degree is required from an accredited college of Pharmacy
- 5 years experience managing and inpatient pharmacy within a hospital system
- Clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting is required
- Previous experience in supply chain, value analysis, purchased services and/or sourcing that includes pharmacy service line knowledge and experience required.
- Must be a licensed Pharmacist in good standing (Any State)
