Job Description

SummaryUnder the direction of a Pharmacist, provides technical assistance, processing and preparing medications and supplies. Works with multiple medication automation systems. Delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas. Triages phone calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members.Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required

  • Retail or hospital pharmacy experience Preferred

  • Pharmacy Tech License - Temporary Upon Hire Required

  • Pharmacy Tech License 1 Year Required

  • Pharmacy Tech – Certified (PHARM TECH) 1 Year Required Or

  • Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) 1 Year Required

  • Ideal candidate is someone with a passion for working in Pharmacy, someone who is punctual and reliable, does not miss work, someone who has a great, positive attitude, and who would enjoy putting in 12,000 to 15,000 steps per day walking to/from different spaces within the hospital

  • Pharmacy experience would be a plus, but not required
