Pharmacy Technician- Outpatient (Job ID: 1576)Job SummaryUnder general supervision of a pharmacist, performs pharmacy-relatedfunctions to provide optimal pharmaceutical care. Prepares medications,maintains pharmacy inventory, and restocks as necessary.ResponsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesEducation: High school Diploma or GED certificate. Completion of a pharmacytechnician training program preferred. Experience: Typically, one year ofpharmacy experience, completion of a pharmacy technician vocational course.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to work as a team member.Attention to detail. Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures.Knowledge of medications and medical supplies. Knowledge of record-keepingtechniques. Mathematical computation skills. Sterile and non-sterilecompounding skills. Organization and communication skills. Good typing,keyboarding and proofreading skills. Ability to maintain adequateinventory/supplies. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word andOutlook. Knowledge of Enrollment Services operating processes pertaining tothe Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) and the Denver Health FinancialAssistance Program (DFAP). Knowledge of Denver Health's discount programprocedures and the Enrollment Services processes. PTCB certification orcurrent pharmacy intern license. All Certifications and Licenses required forthis job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.Education* High School Diploma or GED (Required) Education 1.
