Summary You will serve as a PHARMACY TECHNICIAN in the PHARMACY DEPARTMENT of NMRTC CAMP PENDLETON CA. Responsibilities You will interpret the appropriate information and data to identify patient requirements relative to their specific needs You will perform complex assessment of compound products utilizing test equipment adjusting to proper concentrations in solutions and visual inspections. You will use computer systems for data collections and monitoring to include medication profiles, prescription fill data, provide medical information, and identify potential drug interactions and substitutions or generic drug replacement. You will assist the Pharmacist in the drug utilization, quality assurance, and improvement activities as well as provides guidance or assists less experienced medical personnel. You will serve as a representative of the Pharmacy by answering a wide range of inquiries from doctors, nurses, and other staff on the availability of specific items; e.g., drugs in stock, drugs on order, and dosage forms available in the pharmacy. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience performing screening of a prescription medicine order and assessing pertinent medical history. *Experience adjusting proper concentrations in solutions and performing visual inspections. *Experience performing technical functions with computer based systems and software such as transcribing prescriptions into the current pharmacy computer system. *Experience processing prescriptions with the current pharmacy automation and robotics.
