Cigna Pharmacy Product Solutions Manager - Work from home in Bloomfield, Connecticut

The Solutions Manger, Cigna Pharmacy Product, is responsible for the execution and delivery of Pharmacy Product priorities aligned and approved for the Client Portfolio. Pharmacy Product Management is evolving Cigna's pharmacy products to address customer, client, and regulatory needs. Under the direction of the Solutions Manager Lead, this role will be responsible for planning, governance and overseeing the successful delivery of new products and enhancements to existing Pharmacy products using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) methodology.

The Pharmacy Product team, led by our Pharmacy Product Strategy Directors, develop and guide product strategy. This role will require the Solutions Manager to work cross-functionally with multiple areas to create solutions that support approved Product strategies. The Solutions Manager is responsible for defining and supporting the building of large scale business solutions that meet Product Strategy needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Owns content for Solution Train

  • Validates and understands Product Strategy and success criteria to ensure highest quality Solutions

  • Works with Solution Architect to understand enabler scope

  • Decomposes Portfolio Epics into Program Epics

  • Ensures Program Epics are written, ready to implement and pulled into the Solution Backlog

  • Reviews and updates the definitions of the Program Epics and develops Acceptance Criteria for epics in the backlog

  • Creates and communicates the Solution Vision and Roadmap

  • Partners with Product Strategy Directors, Solutions Architects, and PMs on the ARTs within the Solution to ensure Epic context, prioritization alignment and proper decomposition into the program backlog

  • Implements and manages the Solution Kanban

  • Prioritizes and manages the flow of work through the Solution Kanban into Solution Backlog

  • Completes final backlog preparation, prioritization and socialization in preparation for PI Planning

  • Describes the current Solution Vision and presents Program Epics to align ARTs within the Solution Train during Pre-PI Planning

  • Participates in Program Increment (PI) Planning with appropriate Agile Release Trains (ART)

  • Schedules Program Epics for release

  • Analyzes and evaluates ways to split Program Epics into smaller chunks of incremental work

  • Determines enablers that are needed from new Program Epics and establishes their capacity allocations

  • Integrates the results from the ART planning into the vision for the Solution Train during Post-PI Planning

  • Facilitate incremental system demonstrations during Product Increments for each ART to ensure stakeholders are aligned with progress and

  • Facilitate weekly Solution Synch meetings with supporting ARTs to ensure strategy, quality and timing remain aligned throughout the course of the Solution

  • Develop and maintain a Solution progress dashboard to distribute and communicate with both Business and IT stakeholders through the delivery of assigned Solutions

  • Partner with the Business Readiness team to communicate and align launch strategies

Technical/Functional Competencies:

  • General understanding of PBM landscape

  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods including Agile Methodology experience

  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish a high level of credibility across functional and lines of business

  • Excellent communication skills and experience in an empowered team environment

  • Demonstrate strong decision making skills and problem solving techniques

  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced, high volume, rapidly changing environment

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles

  • Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with cross-functional stakeholders

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to create and implement contingency plans and solutions for problems that arise

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Self-directed, flexible and capable of leading a team of professionals across multiple business areas, geographies, and time zones.

Qualifications:

  • Current or previous experience working within Cigna Pharmacy Management preferred

  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management

  • Ability to work in Agile environment; proficiency in Rally and Confluence or other comparable tools

  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Have the ability to work independently and in conjunction with co-workers of all levels

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Desire to take more responsibilities and move into a product management role over time

  • 5+ years of relevant project management or business solutions experience preferred

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
