Job Description:

Pharmacy Internship is the supervised practical experience required for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist. The purpose of the Pharmacy Internship is to provide individuals intending to become Registered Pharmacists with the knowledge and practical experience necessary for functioning competently and effectively upon licensure.

Pharmacy Interns are allowed to engage in the Practice of Pharmacy under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. Aspects include coordinating drug distribution activities, monitoring patients for potential drug-related problems and ensuring appropriate drug therapy.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Enrolled in good standing or graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy.

  • Up to 1 year of pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern experience preferred

  • Eligible for licensure as a Pharmacy Intern through the Maine Board of Pharmacy required.

  • Proficiency in a suite of MS Office applications

  • Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
